The Fancy Foods Show & our new friends at Piece, Love & Chocolate

I was in San Fran for the 2011 Fancy Foods Show and attended the 2011 Winter Fine Chocolate Industry Association meeting.   Besides getting to catch up with colleagues  like Pam Williams (Ecole Chocolat) and Beth Tully (Cocoa Dolce), I got to meet Michael Recchuiti and Art Pollard (Amano Chocolate).   I just love meeting and talking with other artisan chocolatiers and chocolate makers because the people are genuine, passionate and so willing to share.

And by a random chance, I met Heidi and Sarah from a new venture in Boulder, CO.  We had some great conversations and I can tell that this place is going to be something special!  So attention all you fans of The Art of Chocolate: Be sure to check out our new friends at Peace, Love and Chocolate…coming soon to Boulder!

And remember, life is too short to eat crappy chocolate.

Chris' love of chocolate began long before the creation of The Art of Chocolate. His passion and desire to find the next amazing chocolate indulgence could not go unnoticed by those around him. It was no surprise when Chris retired from a 20+ year career in IT and followed his passion to pursue formal training and education in becoming a Chocolatier. Having trained at the Ecole Chocolat (Vancouver) and Callebaut (Belgium) academies, as well as working with some of the best artisan chocolatiers in North America, Chris and his wife Darcie are dedicated to making the world a bit sweeter. The Art of Chocolate is the culmination of exquisite taste, passion driven craft, and a commitment to excellence.
