Friends don’t let friends eat fake chocolate bunnies!

The Art of Chocolate is proud to announce that we are producing hand made artisan chocolate bunnies in dark, milk and white chocolate varieties. At The Art of Chocolate, we use REAL couverture chocolate that is fair trade certified.   We make all of your chocolate bunnies and filled eggs fresh this week (they don’t sit in a warehouse for months before sitting on the grocer shelf for even longer). If your bunny came home in a box from  the grocery store, the chances are it has artificial ingredients and may not even be made of real chocolate!

Additionally, we are making giant chocolate truffle eggs filled either with peanut butter ganache or milk chocolate ganache!

Stop by or call us for your Easter chocolate orders!

Remember, Life is too short to eat crappy chocolate.

We are back posting to the blog and revamping the website

Our apologies to everyone but the blog and some parts of the website havent been maintained well this summer.  Everything has been topsy turvy this summer with a death in the family combined with our purchasing a dessert business and moving The Art of Chocolate into that new retail location.  If you have followed our Facebook page, you know that is where we have posted most of updates.

However, we are now revamping this website, back to posting our chocolate reviews (even in bad times, we don’t give up on chocolate) and we will be launching a new shopping cart!  When all is said and done, we should be much more efficient with all of our online media.

Thanks for keeping in touch with us and don’t be a stranger! There are great things to come.

And remember, life is too short to eat crappy chocolate.

The Art of Chocolate is off to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer 6/24-6/26

Thanks to all our fans and hungry customers! You helped The Art of Chocolate raise almost $2000 in the fight against breast cancer!  Even though the walk is this weekend, you can still help give:

http://info.avonfoundation.org/goto/farrow

This is a cause that means a lot to our family, as my mom is fighting her 2nd round of triple negative breast cancer in the last few years. This is the reason I am walking the 39 miles this weekend.

So catch The Art of Chocolate team up in Keystone and Breckenridge this weekend! I am walking, Darcie is on the volunteer staff and the big kids are entertaining the twins.

Again, thanks for all your support!

The Art of Chocolate Review – Green Chile and Pistachio Bark from The ChocolateSmith

Holy moley Batman!  It has been a while since I tried a new chocolate that just totally blew me away…and that is exactly what happened with The Green Chile and Pistachio Bark from The ChocolateSmith .

We travel every year down to New Mexico and I always try to find some new chocolate to try while down there.  This time around, I was lucky enough to stumble upon The ChocolateSmith and their Green Chile and Pistachio bark.    I LOVE green chile and Darcie is nuts over Pistachios (doh), so we decided to give this a shot.

I hoped for the best and I wasn’t let down. Luscious dark chocolate, salty Pistachios and some real heat from the green chile.  The ingredients are straightforward with nice clean chocolate, Pistachios and a surprise with a bit of garlic salt.  This combination really works and the poor bark didn’t stand a chance. We devoured the whole package.

Only two things I could complain about: packaging and price.  The packaging was rather cheap and I am really picky when items are bagged but can’t be resealed, especially when you might want to serve more for later.  A resealable bag of a little better quality would make a big difference.  Second, the price for 4oz is something around $8.00 which really drags the value down. These are small points and doesn’t diminish the overall eating experience.

Overall, this chocolate rocks and I guarantee we will be stopping again for more on our next trip to New Mexico.

Here is the grade: 90 - A euphoric chocolate experience that makes life worth living

Overall Taste:  48 out of 50 possible points
Quality of Ingredients: 18 out of 20 possible points
Mouthfeel:  15 out of 15 possible points
Aroma: 4 out of 5 possible points
Value: 3 out of 5 possible points
Presentation: 2 out of 5 possible points
